"A man begins to change when he stops asking who should fix it and starts asking what part of it belongs to him."
Reflection
Blame is seductive because it can be accurate. Your parents may have failed you. Someone may have betrayed you. The economy may be difficult. Your boss may be unfair. Your circumstances may genuinely be harder than another man’s. The danger is not recognizing these things. The danger is allowing what happened to you to decide what happens next.
Responsibility does not mean pretending everything is your fault. It means refusing to surrender the part that is yours. You may not have caused the wound, but healing it has become your responsibility. You may not have created the problem at work, but your response still carries your name. You may not control the entire situation, but there is almost always some piece of ground beneath your feet.
Stop waiting for perfect justice before beginning your own repair. Ask the harder question: What can I do now? Then do it. Responsibility returns agency to the man who has spent too long explaining why he has none.

Where am I using a legitimate explanation as permission to remain unchanged?
Today's Practice
Take one situation you have been blaming on someone else and write down the smallest part that is genuinely yours. Act on that part today.
Closing Principle
You do not need to own every fault to own your next move.
