Courage Before Confidence

Reflection
Most men are waiting to feel confident before they act. The waiting is the trap. Confidence is not a starting condition; it is a byproduct. It shows up after obedience, not before it. If you wait to feel ready to have the hard conversation, apologize, start the work, leave the sin, seek help, or ask for her hand — you will wait forever. Fear is patient. It will outlast your motivation.
The Stoics knew this. The saints knew this. Every man who ever mattered acted before his nerves agreed. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is the decision to move while fear is still speaking. You will discover that most of what you were afraid of was a smaller creature than it sounded from a distance.
Name the thing today that you have been putting off in the language of "I'm not ready yet." You are ready enough. You are not waiting for confidence; you are waiting for permission to keep hiding. Move.
